Obituary for Margie Smith Armitage

Mrs. Margie Smith Armitage, age 74, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away January 20, 2017. She was born in Cedartown on June 13, 1942, a daughter of the late Seaborn and Odorine Smith.

Mrs. Armitage was a dedicated homemaker who loved her grandchildren. She had a strong faith in the baptist church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Clara Taylor.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Tommy Thomas and her son and daughter-in-law Darren and Kim Armitage; brothers and sister-in-laws Ted and Runette Smith and Tex and Joan Smith; grandchildren: Jonathan Ferrell, Amy and Chris Evans, Brad and Elizabeth Ferrell, Chad Ferrell, Brandon Armitage, and Blake Armitage; great-grandchildren: Shelby Ferrell, Sadie Ferrell, Lainey Shaw, and Tinsley Evans; nieces and nephews Christia and Jerry Bishop, Phil Smith, and several other nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Margie Armitage will be held Sunday, January 22 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Smith and Miller Funeral Home with Minister Jeff Lamb officiating.

Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Brad Ferrell, Chad Ferrell, Brandon Armitage, Blake Armitage, and Chris Evans.

The family will be receiving friends at Smith and Miller Funeral Home Sunday, January 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
