Choice Raymond Anderson, Sr

Mr. Choice Raymond Anderson, Sr. of Summerville and formerly of Cedartown passed away Monday, November 9, 2020.

Raymond was born February 23, 1954, in Cedartown, Georgia, to the late Choice Beamer Anderson and the late Christine Hicks Anderson. He was an avid golfer until his health declined. He was always a sports fan cheering on the Falcons, Georgia Bulldogs or Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. His favorite team was always the team winning!

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brother, Archie “Tubby” Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Jarrell Anderson; sons, Michael Busby, Marty Short, and Choice “Peanut” Anderson, Jr; daughter, Stacy Turner; grandchildren, Rylie Busby, Braylie Busby, Dustin Turner, Brooke Turner, and Kneo Turner; sisters, Glenda Beavis and Lillie “Sweet Pea” Anderson. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the family lot of Northview Cemetery with Chaplain Terry Combs officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Smith & Miller Funeral Home from 12 noon until 1:45 PM.

Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and mask are recommended.
