Helen Kisner

Helen O. Kisner passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at her home in Cedartown, Georgia, from natural causes after a short hospital stay. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Costa and Annette Ziegler, six grandchildren and their spouses, and eight great-grandchildren.

Helen was born on October 4, 1928, in Washington, Oklahoma, to Homer Virgle Kline and Anna Susie (McAlister) Kline. She had one younger sister, Marilyn Lucille, who died in her youth. In 1947, Helen met and married the love of her life, Alvin Kisner, who had served and been discharged from the United States Army. The couple had three daughters, Linda, Joyce, and Annette. Linda passed 3 days after birth due to prematurity. They raised their family in California.

Throughout her life, Helen was a devout Baptist Christian along with her husband, who was later called into the ministry. Helen worked as a bank teller, medical office biller, and she and her husband owned businesses, including two bakeries in California and Oregon. She dearly loved her family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her. We love you Mom/Grandma. “Home in Heaven”.

Serves will be held at Free Will Baptist Church, Chowchilla, CA, on May 13, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera, CA.
