Retired Sergeant First Class Keith Dennis Costley, age 55 of Midland, Texas and formerly of Cedartown, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021.

Keith was born December 21, 1965 in Cedartown, Georgia. Keith enjoyed traveling throughout his life. He was a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves. Keith retired from the United States Army after faithfully serving for 24 years. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jamie Culberson and grandmother Dorothy Winkles.

Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Culberson; sons: Matthew Costley and Nicholas Costley; brothers: Donnie Costley (Michelle), Bill Costley (Amy) and Jimmy Culberson; sisters: Kenda Rayburn (Quinn Guttery) and Tanamia "Tammy" Reyes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his best friend, who was like a brother, Silvano Matone.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. John Redding officiating and Mr. Dee Pruitt, Mr. Jimmy Mobley, and Mr. Silvano Matone delivering eulogies . Interment will follow at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with full military honors.

The following will serve as honorary pallbearers: Justin Reyes, Cody Rayburn, Jacob Grimshaw, Colby Grimshaw, Will Welchel, Cole Welchel, Josh Costley, Chris Costley, Daniel Costley and Dristin Strobel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
