Raymond Ballew

Raymond Ballew, age 63, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. He was born on October 9, 1957 in Cedartown, GA, to his late parents; Graford and Grace Sissom Ballew. Raymond has worked several years at Suhner in Rome and was also a ordained preacher. Mr. Ballew loved the Lord and his faith was steadfast. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several of his brothers and sisters.

Mr. Ballew is survived by his loving wife, Gail Franks Ballew of Cedartown, GA, children: Melinda Hassebrock and her husband, Brad, Cynthia Holtzclaw and her husband, Jonathon, Raymond Ballew Jr., and Kenneth Ballew, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Ballew, and sisters: Stella Smith, Rita Elders and Louis Brooks. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ballew will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with Rev. Edward Streetman and Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Interment will follow the service at Northview Cemetery.

The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers: Austin Temple, Kyle Camp, Shane Payton, Greg Margelony, Chris Bailey and Greg Swafford. Honorary Pallbearers include: Jay Holtzclaw Jr., Gary Margelony, Zeke Hassebrock, Robert Charles ,and DJ Strickland.

Everyone is asked to follow social distancing guidelines and the use of mask is recommended.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a visitation on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
