Rev. Dr. Edwin "Ed" Robert Wadsworth

Reverend Dr. Edwin "Ed" Wadsworth, Jr., age 73, of Lawrenceville, Ga and formerly of Cedartown, passed away peacefully with his family beside him Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Ed was born March 15, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to the late Edwin Robert Wadsworth, Sr. and the late Doris Smith Wadsworth. He served as a faithful pastor for 43 years serving 19 different churches throughout his career. Ed retired in 2015 from Cedartown First United Methodist Church as Senior Pastor. He loved his flower gardens, playing golf, swimming and taking cruises.

Survivors include his wife Sandra “Sandi” Trail Wadsworth; children: Tracy Wadsworth, Michael Wadsworth and Elizabeth Davis; grandson, William Wadsworth; sister Judy Lanza, Austin, Texas and brother, Bruce Wadsworth, Grand Prairie, Texas.

A family graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery with Rev. Warren Latham officiating.
