Shirley Ann Vines

Mrs. Shirley Ann Vines, age 79, of Cedartown, GA passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017.

She was born on April 29, 1937 in Borden Springs, AL, a daughter of the late Robert H. Truett and the late Marion Collins Truett. Mrs. Vines lived the greater part of her life in Cedartown where she was a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved her entire family with all of her heart. Mrs. Vines enjoyed shopping, spending time with family, making flower arrangements and crafts. She was a very happy woman, lived life to the fullest and had a very eventful life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William David Vines; son, Terry Vines; grandparents, Aggie and Essie Collins; and sisters: Betty Clarke and Jean Nettles.

Mrs. Vines is survived by her four children: Ricky Vines and his wife Alyssa, Rodney Vines, Renee McAvoy and her husband Mike, and Scott Vines; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two brothers: Floyd Truett and Wayne Truett; three sisters: Carolyn Wood, Diann Brown and Patsy Causey; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Vines will conducted Sunday April 30, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Vines and Rev. Anthony Trawick officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Billy Frazier officiating.

The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Scott Vines, Brandon Vines, Craig Guice, Mike McAvoy, Brad Ely and Jimmy Dingler. Mrs. Vines nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 9 PM at the Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
