Woodrow "Woody" Talley, Jr.

Mr. Woodrow “Woody” Wilson Talley, Jr. age 63, of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

Woody was born on January 25, 1958 in Birmingham, AL to his parents: Woodrow Wilson Talley, Sr. and Eula Edna Bynum Talley. Mr. Talley was currently serving as the organist for Cedartown First United Methodist Church. He has played the organ and piano for multiple church's throughout Alabama and Georgia since he was 17 years old. He served as the organist for Sandy Springs First United Methodist Church for 16 years. In his spare time he would tune and restore pianos. Woody was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Talley was preceded in death by his sister, Lurene Talley Bentley.

Woody is survived by his loving wife, Judy Bell Talley, daughter, Lauren Sanders and her husband, Jonathan, grandchildren: Jon Sanders and Hannah Sanders, sister, Bertie Noah and her husband, Paul, sister-in-law, Cathy Tricquet and her husband, Joby and a number of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM from Cedartown First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Joby Tricquet and Rev. Dr. Mark Nugent officiating.

The family will receive friends at Cedartown First United Methodist Church Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 9:30 AM until the service hour.
