Bert “Tina“Gibson Witt, age 100, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021.

Mrs. Witt was born on April 10, 1920 in Pennington Gap, Virginia, daughter of the late Sam and Daisy Gibson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband James Witt, to whom she was married to on November 16,1940, son, Charles Witt; grandchildren, Daryl Underwood and Brittany Witt and great-granddaughter, Katie Pauley.

Mrs. Witt is survived by her children, James Cecil Witt and his wife Judy, Thelma Jean Autry and husband Tom, Elizabeth Witt Underwood and husband Bill, Marcus Lynn Witt and wife Cynthia, Bobby Wayne Witt and wife Bobbie, daughter-in-law Mary Witt, grandchildren Kristy Maulding, James Edward Pauley, Connie Pauley, Ricky Pauley, Charles Pauley, David Underwood, Lisa Sligh, Tonia Reynolds, Tabitha Allen, Amber Bozeman, Josh Finkelstein, Toni Long, Candance Elliot, Shelbie Witt, A.J. Witt, Harley Witt, and Monie Witt.
Thirty-two great-grandchildren and fifteen great, great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Witt will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Smith and Miller Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Vines officiating. The family respectfully request that social distancing guidelines be followed, and masks will be required.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM.

Interment will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Park South Cemetery, 11600 Killian Drive, Miami, Florida.
