Braylynn Anne Simms

With hearts forever changed, we announce the birth and passing of our precious daughter, Braylynn Anne Simms, who was born sleeping on July 18, 2026 at 3:34am, weighing 1 pound 14 ounces and measuring 13 inches long.

Braylynn was our long-awaited miracle, deeply loved and prayed for from the very beginning. Through IVF, after years of hoping, praying, and trusting in God’s timing, we were overjoyed to learn she was on the way. From the moment we knew of her, she filled our hearts with love beyond words.

Braylynn is the beloved daughter of Bailey and Ethan Simms; treasured granddaughter of Tonya Smith, Todd Cochran (Erica Duncan), and Jon and Donna Simms. She is dearly loved by her great-grandparents, Sandra Cochran and Pat Simms; cherished by her aunts and uncles, TJ Cochran (Stephanie Cochran), Tanner Cochran, Ansley Cochran, and Chloé Simms; and by her cousins, Bryleigh Cochran, Makenzie Cochran, and Brantley Cochran. Braylynn was also deeply loved and faithfully prayed for by devoted family, treasured friends, and an entire community who walked this journey with us from the very beginning.

Though we only held Braylynn in our arms for a brief time, she knew only love. She was surrounded by countless prayers and touched the lives of so many. We find comfort in knowing she was welcomed into heaven by loved ones who had gone before her, and now rests safely in the arms of Jesus.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm with the celebration of Braylynn’s life beginning at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, (located in Cedartown, Georgia) with Pastor Dave Pollard officiating.

“Braylynn, you were our answered prayer, our long awaited miracle, and our greatest blessing. You were deeply loved every moment of your life and will be deeply missed every day of ours. Though we did not get the lifetime we dreamed of with you, we are forever grateful to have been your mommy and daddy. Until the day we see you again, you will always be our daughter-forever loved, forever cherished, forever in our hearts.”

“And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.” - Mark 10:16.

The Smith & Miller Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Baby Braylynn Anne Simms.
