Cathy Marie Winkles

Cathy Marie Winkles, age 63, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Cathy was born December 19, 1961, in Savannah, Georgia, daughter of the late Doyle and Marie Jarrell.

Cathy married her beloved husband, Franklin Eugene Winkles, November 15, 1985.

Cathy was a paraprofessional for Polk County and Haralson County Schools for over twenty years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She especially loved Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.

Cathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She found great joy in showing her love to her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, Cathy is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carol Ann Marie Riding; brother, David DuWayne Jarrell; and brother-in-law, Randy Winkles.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Frank Winkles; daughter, Jennifer Riding and her husband, Eric; sons, Doyle Winkles and his wife, Kayla, and Jason Winkles and his wife, Katie; dearly loved grandchildren: Shyanna Hernandez, Sara Riding, Andolyn Winkles, Jaxson Riding, Mordecai Winkles, Roselyn Winkles, Waylon Winkles, Phoebe Riding, Sophie Riding, and Cassidy Riding; and great-granddaughter, Lainey Hernandez.

Additionally, Cathy is survived by her sisters: Gail Knight and her husband, Ricky, Brenda Wright and her husband, Jimmy, and Lori Norris and her husband, Jimmy; and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 7:00 PM, in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Mr. Ricky Knight officiating.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until the service hour.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Doyle Winkles, Jason Winkles, Eric Riding, Mark Oxenrieder, Tony Taylor, and her grand and great-grandbabies.
