Mr. Danny M. Brown, age 75, of Cedartown, passed away Sunday May 4, 2025.

Mr. Brown was born October 5, 1949, in Cedartown, Georgia, son of the late Ivy Jefferson Brown and Eddie Mae Heath Brown.

Mr. Brown was a lifelong resident of Cedartown and a proud graduate of Cedartown High School, Class of 1967. Following graduation, he served honorably as a Marksman in the Georgia National Guard.

A natural storyteller, Mr. Brown had a captivating presence and always left people better than he found them. He was an avid outdoorsman, and was a skilled hunter and fisherman. Mr. Brown had a lengthy career as an operator for Local 926. After retiring at the age of fifty-five, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to spending time with his family. He and his beloved wife, Jane, found great happiness in traveling together, especially enjoying their trips to the beach.

Mr. Brown's life was defined by love and service to his family. He exemplified what it means to be a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and Christian. His unwavering commitment, kindness, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Faith played a central role in his life. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Cedartown; and he deeply valued his time spent reading his Bible and living out his beliefs. Mr. Brown leaves behind a legacy of devotion, integrity, and love—one that will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him. His presence will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anne “Belle” and Aubrey Landrum, and many extended family members.

Mr. Brown is survived by his beloved wife of forty-five years, Mrs. Jane Landrum Brown; children, Hannah Morris and her husband, Tommy, and Danya Herbermann and her husband, Danny; dearly loved grandchildren: Taylor Sellers, Jacob Herbermann, Harrison Colquitt, Tommie Leigh Morris, Mackenzeigh Morris, Harper Morris, and Gage Morris; eight great-grandchildren; siblings: Judy Davis, and Beth Erwin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Danny Brown will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM, in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Larry Watts, Dr. Idell Suarez, and Reverend Justin Carter officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Brown's family will receive friends, also on Tuesday, from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Smith & Miller Funeral Home. 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Ken Woods, Jeff Davis, Brian McCray, Richie Haney, Gage Morris, and Brian Wilkins. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Jimmy Tracy, and Junior Davis.
