David "Duwayne" Jarrell

August 23, 1954 — October 29, 2023

Mr. David “DuWayne” Jarrell, age 69, passed away, Sunday, October 29, 2023.


DuWayne was born, August 23, 1954, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Talmadge and Marie Jarrell.


DuWayne was a 1972 graduate of Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona. He proudly served our country in the US Navy, traveling the country, for eight years. DuWayne was known for being a handy man and loved to spend an afternoon fishing. He enjoyed reading books and watching movies. DuWayne was well loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of twenty-nine years, Mrs. Susie H. Jarrell.


DuWayne is survived by his children: Edwin Jarrell and his wife, Tonya of Aragon, and Kim Jacobs and her husband, Scott, of Rockmart; grandchildren: Devon Hopkins, Cody Hopkins, Coby Jacobs, Haley Jarrell, Ashley Jarrell, and Heather Jarrell; and great granddaughter, Emory Hopkins. Additionally, he is survived by sisters: Gail Knight and her husband, Ricky, of Rockmart, Brenda Wright and her husband, Jimmy, of Cedartown, Cathy Winkles and her husband, Frank, of Cedartown, and Lori Norris and her husband, Jimmy, of Rockmart; and sisters-in-law, Alicia Caldoza and Fe Rosales, both of the Philippines.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Smith & Miller Funeral Home.


The family will receive friends, Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 9:oo until 11:00 in the morning, at the Cedartown Church of God.
