David "Rooster" Baldwin

December 21, 1955 — July 1, 2023

Mr. David “Rooster” Baldwin, age 67, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023.


He was born December 21, 1955, in Rome, Georgia, son of the late David Baldwin and Rosie Bell Baldwin.


Rooster had a lengthy career in Construction. If he was not sitting outside enjoying his grandchildren, he could be found watching his favorite TV shows.


In addition to his parents, Rooster was preceded in death by wife, Goldie Corn Baldwin; brothers, Danny Baldwin and Buck Godfrey, and sister, Kathleen Minter.


He is survived by his children, David Baldwin, Courtney Baldwin, and Derrick Baldwin; grandchildren, Jakob Davenport, Brantley Davenport, Gavin Davenport, Mallori Baldwin, Derrick Baldwin, Jr., Andrew Baldwin, Khalei Baldwin, Erricka Baldwin, Abigail Baldwin, Kameron Baldwin, and Emzlei Baldwin; brothers, Tommy Baldwin and Billy Bob Godfrey; sister, Barbara Roach; nieces, Brittany Harell, Hannah Franks, Ada Mae Minter; nephew, Jordan Franks. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.


Funeral services for Mr. David “Rooster” Baldwin will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend John Redding officiating. Interment will follow in the Cave Spring Cemetery.


The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Tommy Baldwin, Jakob Davenport, Brantley Davenport, Gavin Davenport, Andrew Baldwin, and Ray Corn.


The family will receive friends at Smith & Miller Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour on Thursday, July 6, 2023.
