David "Wayne" Williams, Jr.

Mr. David “Wayne” Williams, Jr., age 57, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Wayne was born January 19, 1969, in Rome, Georgia, son of the late David Wayne Williams, Sr. and Margie Marie Jordan Williams.

Wayne was a skilled mechanic who found great joy and contentment in working on vehicles. He loved spending his time riding along scenic dirt roads, taking in the beauty around him, and he had a special appreciation for music. Above all, Wayne cherished his family and the time he shared with them. His kindness, passion, and love will be remembered by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his brother, Waylon Williams; niece, Stephanie Powers; and nephew, Brian Williams.

Wayne is survived by sisters, Debra Pierce and her husband, Ronnie, Angie Williams, and Ashley Williams; brother, Hank Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, in the chapel of First Church Cedartown, with Reverend Wayne Benefield officiating.
