Dolores Hood

Mrs. Dolores Hood, age 69, passed away surrounded by her beloved family, Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Dolores was born April 16, 1956, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, daughter of Mr. Jerry Hodgen and the late Mrs. Nelsa Hodgen. 

Dolores loved Jesus with all her heart. She was such a beautiful woman inside and out. Her love could fill a room — kind, gentle, and full of faith.

Though it hurts deeply to say goodbye, She is rejoicing in heaven. We find comfort in knowing she’s at peace now with Jesus— surrounded by angels, free from pain, and embraced by the same love she always poured out on her family & anyone she ever engaged with. With the heart of God, she left a mark on so many lives.

Dolores is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Russell Hood; daughters, Kimberly Brawner, Megan Hood, and Ashlyn Wheeler; grandchildren: Brayden Vanzant, Ryder Duff, Addilyn Thompson, Elijah Thompson, Briar Rose King, and Kyliegh Brawner; and father, Jerry Hodgen. 

A memorial service to honor her life will be held Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at Second Baptist Church of Cedartown, with Reverend Justin Carter officiating.
