Dorothy Irene Briggs

Ms. Dorothy Irene Briggs, age 58, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025. 

Dorothy was born in New York on May 10, 1967, the daughter of Katherine Farmer Mead and the late Charles V. Briggs. 

Dorothy made Cedartown, Georgia her home five years ago. She devoted her life to being a homemaker and caring for those around her. She was a very gifted individual and loved quilting, crocheting, and creating stained glass. She enjoyed spending time outside and tending to her garden. A great passion of hers was pursuing learning and spending time studying her Bible. Dorothy was a loving and caring wife to her husband Eric for twenty nine years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her father, Dorothy is preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Briggs. 

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Eric Matthew Mandy; children: Erin McCabe, and Daniel Trader; siblings: Sheila Briggs, Sue Briggs, Donna Briggs, Debra Briggs, Paula Briggs, and Steve Briggs; and her mother, Katherine Farmer Mead. 

No formal services are planned at this time.
