June 11, 1956 — November 8, 2021

On November 8, 2021, our beloved son, husband, daddy, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, adopted father figure, and friend transitioned from labor to reward. George, affectionately known as “Bubba,” “George Edward,” or “Wheeler,” was born on June 11, 1956, to Lillie Vera Wheeler and the late Edward Wheeler. George accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Church in Brundidge, Alabama.

George grew up in Brundidge, Alabama and was a graduate of Pike County High School, “Class of 1974.” He later obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in 1978 from Tuskegee University in Industrial Arts of Education. He was employed with the Polk School District, where he dedicated 31 years as an educator. There he taught Industrial Arts and Technology at Cedar Hill Middle School and Cedartown High School. After retirement, George started his business, “Flip It-Renovations,” where he passionately did renovations. His favorite past times included fishing, hunting, barbecuing, and socializing with his treasured “Shade Tree Crew.” He would bring laughter and joy to anyone he met.

On June 16, 1984, he married his devoted and loving wife, Frankie Dudley Wheeler. To this union a lovely daughter, McKensey Elyse Wheeler, was born. With this union Frankie and McKensey gained a son and brother, Marcus Flowers and later an adopted daughter, Tangela King.

George is proceeded in death by his father, Edward Wheeler, and brother, Arthur Griffin.
