Glenda Stroup

Mrs. Glenda Diane Carnes Stroup, age 76, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026. She was born May 27, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mrs. Stroup was the daughter of the late Myrtice Carnes Stroup. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Charlie Stroup; daughter, Teresa Diane Stroup; and brothers, Gary Stroup and Eddie Stroup.

She is survived by her loving husband, Buddy Tyrone “Ty” Stroup; children, Stephanie Dobbs and her husband, Kevin, and Stephen Stroup and his wife, Donna; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Denese Peace. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Stroup loved her family dearly and was especially proud to have had a hand in raising three different generations. She enjoyed traveling, taking trips to casinos, and spending time with her family. In her quieter moments, her favorite pastime was reading a good book.

Her family was the center of her life, and the memories she created with them will be cherished for generations to come.
