Hunter Brock Barrett

Mr. Hunter Brock Barrett, age 16, of Cedartown, passed away, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. 

Hunter was born March 12, 2008, in Rome, Georgia, son of Kenny Barrett and Minta Conn Barrett. 

Hunter was a fun loving guy who brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He was a jokester and loved a good prank. Hunter had lots of hobbies including riding motorcycles and raising roosters and selling them. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying time outside whenever possible. For such a young man, Hunter truly had a very strong work ethic. He found great enjoyment and pride in being part of the family business. Hunter was part of a loving family, he loved his brothers and they shared a strong bond. His nieces and nephews were very special to him. He was always sure to give them his time and attention. Hunter's life was well lived and filled with lots of adventure. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Hunter was preceded in death by his grandparents: Judy and Morgan Barrett, and Eddie and Betty Conn. 

Hunter is survived by his father, Mr. Kenny Barrett; his mother, Ms. Minta Conn Barrett; brothers, Allen Barrett and his wife, Courtney, and Cody Barrett and his wife, Cassie; and nieces and nephews:  Trent, Reagan, Addy, Tammy, Sawyer, and JoJo. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held Monday, May 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Roger Kiser and Reverend Anthony Trawick officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Baptist Church Cemetery in Felton, Georgia. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Will Short, Gage Mckinzey, Kane Mckinzey, Trent Thomas, Trent Barrett, and Avery Suarez. 

Hunter's family will receive friends on Sunday, May 12, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, also at the Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
