Jamie Kathryn Vincent, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, was born in Dalton, Georgia, on April 27, 1992, and went to be with her Lord on October 8, 2026.
Jamie graduated from Darlington School in Rome, Georgia, in 2010. During her years at Darlington, she participated in volleyball, chorus, and musical theatre, where her extraordinary talent and larger-than-life personality allowed her light to shine brightly. Whether performing on stage or simply entering a room, Jamie had a presence that was uniquely her own.
Jamie will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her loyalty to those she loved, her love of animals, and her remarkable talents. She had a way of making herself known and leaving an impression on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. She loved deeply, formed lasting friendships, and brought a special kind of energy into the lives of others.
Though Jamie faced difficult battles with mental health challenges and substance abuse, these struggles were only one part of her story. They never diminished her worth, her gifts, or the love her family and friends held for her. Those who loved Jamie will remember not only her struggles, but also her laughter, her spirit, her talents, and the many beautiful parts of the person she was.Her family finds comfort in the faith that Jamie is now at peace in the loving arms of our Lord, free from the pain and struggles that burdened her in this life. She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and held close in the hearts of all who knew her.
Jamie is survived by her loving parents, Jimmy (Jim) P. Vincent, Jr., and Victoria (Vicki) Slauson Vincent of Cedartown, Georgia ; her sisters, Dorothy Vincent of Cedartown, and Abby Key (Benjamin) of New Orleans, Louisiana; and, most precious to her, her beloved sons, Jimmy P. Vincent III and David Eugene Vincent, who will forever carry a part of their mother’s spirit with them. She is also survived by her grandmothers, Sandra Teems Vincent of Cedartown and Dorothy Bishop Pirkle of Gainesville, Georgia. As well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Jamie was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jimmy P. Vincent, Sr., and David Eugene Dusenberry. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of her family and friends.
While her time here was marked by both extraordinary gifts and difficult struggles, her life mattered, her love remains, and her memory will live on through the people she touched, especially her beloved boys.
A private family service is being planned.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Jamie’s memory may make a donation to Darlington School, 1014 Cave Spring Road, Rome, Georgia, in recognition of the school that was an important part of her life or a charity of your choice.
