Jeanette Kay Hilliard

Ms. Jeanette Kay Hilliard, age 69, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023.


Jeanette was born October 15, 1954, in Lindale, Georgia, the daughter of the late Grady Lee Hilliard and Virginia DeHart Hilliard.


Jeanette enjoyed the simple things in life and had a deep appreciation for nature and flowers. She was especially fond of hummingbird watching; and was always up for an afternoon spent fishing. Jeanette was a joy to be around and was a friend to all.


In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Carter, and brother, Bob Hilliard.


She is survived by her significant other, Paul Wiggins, Sr.; stepdaughter, Angela Vasser; stepsons, Paul Wiggins, Jr. and Randell Wiggins; grandchildren, India Wiggins, Chris Wiggins, Chad Vasser, and Brandi Bandy; great-grandchildren: Preston, Bailey, Brooklyn, Bryston, Brantley, Jax, Rylan, Winston, Brody, Grayson, and Lisa; and siblings, Diane Fulton, and Gene Hilliard.


Funeral services for Ms. Jeanette Hilliard will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Clinton Green officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.


The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Chad Vasser, Blake Vasser, Chris Wiggins, Randell Wiggins, Bryston Hartley, and Tommy Shelley. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Mr. Paul Wiggins, Jr. and Mr. SHane Bandy.


Her family will receive friends, also on Thursday, at the funeral home from 1:00 in the afternoon until the service hour.


The Smith & Miller Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ms. Jeanette Kay Hilliard.
