Jeanette Winslett

Mrs. Jeanette Winslett, age 83, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Mrs. Winslett was born February 15, 1943, in Cedartown, Georgia, daughter of the late William Hamrick and Betty Hulsey Hamrick.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Winslett is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Oscar C. “Buddy” Winslett; and brothers: Leo Hamrick, and Larry Hamrick.

Mrs. Hamrick is survived by her sons: Genile Winslett and his wife, Felicia, and Jeff Winslett and his wife, Tammy; grandchildren: Kaelin Winslett (Amber), and Kaci Gilham (Brandon); greatgrandchildren: Ansley, Braylee, Klaus, Karolina, and Katerina; brothers: Robert Hamrick (Pat), and James Hamrick (Mary); and sister-in-law, Nancy Hamrick.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 4:00 PM, in Polk Memory Gardens, with Reverend John Redding and Reverend Michael Anderson officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Keith Hamrick, Glenn Hamrick, Rick Nance, Tommy Hughes, Brandon Gilham, and Don Guest. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be James Hamrick and Robert Hamrick.
