In addition to his parents, Mr. Ayers is preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty years, Mrs. Lois Redmond Ayers; sons: John Ricky Ayers II, and John Ricky “Little Ricky” Ayers III; brother, Edward Ayers; sister, Ann Tetreault; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ayers is survived by his daughter Brandi Johnson and her husband, Corey; grandchildren: Andrew Ayers, and Brayden Johnson; great-grandchildren: Shereha “Gracie” Banks, and Isaiah “King” Johnson; sisters: Sara Davis, Teresa Lemming, and Dale Boyd; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
