Mrs. Kathryn Maurine Maddox Clines, age 90, passed away, Friday, December 19, 2025.
Mrs. Clines was born February 21, 1935, in Cedartown, Georgia, daughter of the late Ralph Maddox and Ruth Campbell Maddox.
Mrs. Clines was a lifelong resident of Polk County, Georgia, and a proud graduate of Rockmart High School, Class of 1953. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who enjoyed fulfilling careers at Jefferson Furniture Store and later at Heilig Meyers. Known for her generous and grateful spirit, Mrs. Clines often expressed her appreciation for others through thoughtful and kind gestures.
She always made time for her friends and family, and one of her greatest joys was talking on the phone with her beloved cousins. Above all else, Mrs. Clines found her deepest fulfillment in caring for her family. She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Mr. Johnny Clines, and wholeheartedly embraced her roles as a mother and grandmother. In her later years, she treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always eager to be present in their lives.
In all that she did, her family came first. Mrs. Clines will be deeply missed, and her legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on through her family for generations to come.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clines is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Clines.
Mrs. Clines is survived by her daughter, Ann Hindman and her husband, Wally; grandchildren: Jolie Miller and her husband, Chane, and Amy Hindman; great-grandchildren: Anslie Garrett, Chase Miller, and Cade Miller.
Funeral services to honor her life will be held Monday, December 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Robert Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, with Reverend Bud Davis officiating.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Chane Miller, Chase Miller, Cade Miller, Leamon Stephens, James Stephens, and Doug Elkins.
Mrs. Clines’ family will receive friends Monday, December 22, 2025, at Smith & Miller Funeral Home, from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Wimberly Hill Baptist Church: P.O. Box 1346, Cedartown, GA 30125; or Heart of Hospice Group: 1 Community Square Blvd, Suite 302, Villa Rica, Georgia 30180.
