Mr. Kinney Painter, age 71, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Kinney was born August 19,1954, in Rome, Georgia, son of the late Ernest Painter and Hazel Painter.
Kinney loved spending time outdoors and found joy in fishing and old cars. He enjoyed working with his hands and had a remarkable ability to build just about anything. Kinney also was skilled in painting and working on cars. A hardworking man, he had a lengthy career at Bekaert Steel. Above all, Kinney cherished time with his family and found his greatest happiness in making his grandchildren and great-grandchildren smile. He was easygoing, loving, and supportive—a devoted father and a caring husband. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, Kinney is preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Painter, and niece, Wanda Couzzourt.
Kinney is survived by his wife, Teresa Painter; daughters: Kimberly Vogelsang and her husband, Brian, and Brittney Pruitt and her significant other, Travis; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Jean Painter, Elaine Chastain, and Juanita Gilmore; brother, Manuel Painter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
