Larry Barber

Mr. Larry Barber, age 69, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025. 

Mr. Barber was born November 27, 1955, in Buchanan, Georgia, son of the late Jimmie Preston Barber and Evelyn Barber Chandler. 

Mr. Barber was skilled in woodworking. He enjoyed any time spent outdoors, and especially enjoyed camping. He found a lot of joy in tending to his garden. Mr. Barber was a loving brother and uncle, and his presence will be missed in the lives of all who knew and loved him. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Barber is preceded in death by his stepfather, Carl Chandler; and siblings: Thelma Hulsey, Malinda Barber, and Van Barber. 

Mr. Barber is survived by his siblings: Colline Welchel and her husband, Larry, Melissa Puckett and her husband, William, Norma Jean Wilkes, Dennis Barber, and James Barber, Sr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Services to honor Larry's life will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with friends and family sharing memories.
