Leslie Turner

Mrs. Leslie McGukin Turner, age 59, of Cedartown passed away, Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

Mrs. Turner was born July 9, 1966, in Carrollton, Georgia, daughter of Grant McGuskin and Elaine Harris Broome Purcell.

Leslie spent most of her life in Cedartown where she graduated from Cedartown High School with the Class of 1984. She had a long career serving in the Jail Division with Polk County Sheriff’s Office. She enjoyed taking care of her plants and her fur baby “Doodle” but her greatest joy came while spending time with family.

Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Harris Broome Purcell.

Leslie is survived by her son, Luke Byles; sister, Heidi Andrews and her husband, James; brother, Chuck Broome, and all her nieces and nephews who she treated as grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, no formal services are planned.
