Linda Diane Mullinax Welsh

Mrs. Linda Diane Mullinax Welsh, age 75, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Mrs. Welsh was born February 6, 1950, in Cedartown, Georgia, daughter of the late James A. Mullinax and Florence Diamond Mullinax.

Mrs. Welsh had a keen eye for decorating, a talent she expressed beautifully both in her home and throughout her career. She had a passion for baking and a love of travel, always eager to explore new places and experiences. Above all, she was devoted to her family. As a loving wife, a dedicated mother, a supportive sister, and a proud grandmother, she poured her heart into every role she held, creating a legacy of warmth, care, and lasting memories.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Welsh is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. James D. Welsh; and brother, David Mullinax.

Mrs. Welsh is survived by her children: James Stephenson and his wife, Virginia, Bradley Stephenson and his wife, Angela, and Jason Stephenson and his wife, Mikki; grandchildren: Jason R. Stephenson, Myra Stephenson (Alex), Emma Stephenson, Claire Stephenson, Chassidy Brown (Gabe), Justin Schmidt, and Bryson Thomas; six great-grandchildren; siblings: Carolyn Mull (Jimmy), Dell Mullinax (Syconda), Buddy Mullinax (Frances), Bobby Mullinax (Alisa), Barbara Roberson (Jim), Ronnie Mullinax (Kathy), Connie Timms (Keith), and Tommy Mullinax (Jill), JoAnne Mullinax; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Pine Bower Baptist Church. Eulogies will be given by family members. Interment will follow in Pine Bower Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
