Margie O'Neal

Mrs. Margie Lee Mobbs O’Neal, age 95, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025.

Mrs. O’Neal was born February 24, 1930, in Aragon, Georgia, daughter of the late Ralph D. Mobbs and Lela A. Nixon Mobbs.

Mrs. O’Neal was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church of Cedartown. She retired after a lengthy career at Arrow Shirt Company. She was a very creative person and enjoyed making puzzles, crocheting, and creating flower arrangements. Mrs. O'Neal was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She lived a long and fulfilling life and lived with great anticipation of meeting her Savior.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. O’Neal is preceded in death by her husband: Henry O’Neal; first husband, Luther McDowell; daughter, Brenda Edenburn; and siblings: Irene Hill, Edith Kines, Josephine Ingram, Robert J Mobbs, Houston Mobbs, and John L Mobbs.

Mrs. O’Neal is survived by her daughters: Melissa Musselwhite, and her husband, Craig, Jan Hohenstein, and Judy Downs and her husband, John; siblings: Patricia Cannon (Noel), Jo Ann Gable (Bill Gable -deceased), Marvin Mobbs (Faye Mobbs – deceased); and sisters- in-law: Beatrice Mobbs and Frances Mobbs; grandchildren: Brandon Hutcheson, Jameson Pierce, Jake Musselwhite, Payton Musselwhite, Jamey Bright (Jess), Joel Edenburn (Christy), Andy Bright, Danielle Gray, Johnny Downs (Amanda), Kendra Downs Rainwater, and Drew Hohenstein; Great-grandchildren: Beckham Hutcheson, Finn Hutcheson, Eric Bright, Ben Bright, Matthew Edenburn, Jonathan Edenburn, Kason Rainwater, Preston Rainwater, and Ciera Cogdill (Alex); and great-great-grandchildren: Charlotte Cogdill, and Lincoln Cogdill.

Funeral services to honor her life will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Justin Carter officiating. A eulogy will be given by her daughter, Melissa Musselwhite.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Smith & Miller Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM until the service hour.
