Michael Douglas Holland, known affectionately as Pawpaw, passed away on June 25, 2026.

Mr. Holland was born in Douglasville, Georgia, on September 29, 1944, he was the son of the late Grady Holland and Verma Fountain Holland.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, Selwyn Holland, and his sister, Elaine Holtzclaw.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Nancy Holland; Son, Brian Holland and his family, wife, Shaunna; grandchildren, Lucas Garrison (Emily) & Lucy Forsyth (Clint); great grandchildren, Grayson Garrison, Marjorie & Evelyn Forsyth; Son, Chris Holland and his family, wife, Kim, his beloved grandson, Levi Holland. Also survived by sister in law Linda Highnote (Sid), and several of nieces and nephews.

Mike was a proud 1966 graduate of Berry College. Mike dedicated many years of his life to his work at GMAC General Motors where he made a positive impact on both his colleagues and customers. His commitment to excellence and strong work ethic were evident in all that he did. Mike approached his career with passion and professionalism, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mike had a deep love for gardening and singing in many church choirs. In addition to being an outstanding professional and gardener, Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He cherished moments spent with family members, creating lasting memories through shared laughter and unconditional love. Mikes servant heart, kindness & nurturing nature extended beyond his passion of singing and gardening; it radiated through every aspect of his life.

Mike will be remembered for his enduring love for family, friends, his Alma Mater and his love for Jesus Christ and his church where Mike served as a deacon for many years, Grace Presbyterian Church of Cedartown.
