Nellie Mae Brand

Ms. Nellie Mae Brand, age 66, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Ms. Brand was born April 10, 1959, in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of the late Arivile Brand and Katie Louise Norman Brand.

Ms. Brand devoted her life to her family and was a devoted homemaker. She loved afternoons spent fishing and anything frog related. She enjoyed her many trips to the auction on a weekly basis. In her later years, Ms. Brand loved spending time with her many friends at her live in community. Above all, Ms. Brand was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. Her kind and loving spirit will be missed for years to come.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Brand is preceded in death by a brother, James Dean Brand.

Ms. Brand is survived by her children: Terry Brand and his wife, Jamie, Clifford Brand, and Billy Brand and his wife, Crystal; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; special nieces: Linda Ray, and Mandi Wells; siblings: Essie Timms and her husband, Donald, and Cricket Timms; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ms. Nellie Mae Brand will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 12:00 PM, in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend John Redding, Reverend Bobby Champion, and Reverend Randy Wells officiating.

Ms. Brand’s family will receive friends, also on Thursday at the funeral home, from 11:00 AM until the service hour begins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
