Norma Jean Koone

Mrs. Norma Jean Miller Koone, age 84 of Cedartown passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Norma Jean was born October 13, 1937 in Cedartown to the late Benjamin Miller and the late Mattie Mae Taylor Miller. She spent the greater part of her life in Cedartown. Norma Jean was of the Baptist faith and loved gospel music and playing the piano. She enjoyed the sound of windchimes and watching butterflies.

In addition to her parents, Norma Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Koone; 2 sons: Daryl Keith Vines and Michael Anthony Vines and her daughter Syconda Lynn Vines Crawford.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim Ballard; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and one due in February; 2 great-great grandchildren and 2 sisters: Gwendolyn Jo Trammel and Janelle Mason along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Koone will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

The following will serve as pallbearers: David Spurlock, Jimmy Trammell, Larry Bedford, Christopher Davis and Kameron David.

The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the service hour.
