Ms. Ramonda “Mondie” Holbrooks, age 68, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026.
Ms. Holbrooks was born March 28, 1958, in Rome, Georgia, daughter of the late Clifford “Boe” Holbrooks, Jr. and Evelyn Mae Brown Holbrooks.
Ms. Holbrooks spent her whole life in Cedartown, a place she truly loved and called home in every sense. Her faith was a big part of who she was, and she was a longtime member of Young’s Grove Baptist Church. Some of her happiest moments were singing at church with her family, something she cherished deeply. She found comfort in reading books about going home to Heaven, holding close to that hope.
She was a wonderful mother who dearly loved her daughters, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren, and nothing meant more to her than her family. She was also a loving aunt who cared deeply for each of them. Wherever she was, her sweet dog Milo was never far away, always by her side, bringing her constant love and companionship. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Jackson-Chambers.
Ms. Holbrooks is survived by her daughters, Dena Arp and her husband, Keith, and Tish Crowell and her husband, Johnny; grandchildren: Emme Arp, Ella Arp, Raychel Hudgins, and Rylee Hudgins; great-grandson, Austin Hudgins De-Laigle; nieces, Marla Frasier (David), and Mia Dodd (Rodney); great-nieces, Evie Drew Frasier, and Elyn Beau Frasier; and great-nephews, Wes Bryant (Maddison), and Blake Dodd (Tiffani); and best friend, Cindy Guthrie
Funeral services to honor her life will be held Monday, April 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Young’s Grove Baptist Church, with Reverend Brady West and Mr. David Frasier officiating.
Ms. Holbrooks’ family will receive friends, also on Monday at Young’s Grove Baptist Church, from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the ministries of Young's Grove Baptist Church at youngsgrove.org.
The Smith & Miller Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ms. Ramonda “Mondie” Holbrooks.
