Richard Heon, age 79, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024.
He was born on November 16, 1944, in Rochester, New Hampshire, son of the late Albert Heon and Irene Oullette Heon.
Throughout his life, Richard served his country with honor and distinction, retiring from both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. His commitment to military service was a testament to his patriotism and selflessness. His family was at the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. In his retirement his passion for tinkering brought him joy and fulfillment.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Noel Heon.
Mr. Heon is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Gauthier Heon; children, Michell Harvey, Christina Heon, and Richard Heon; grandchildren, Jericha Detonnancourt, Wyatt Detonnancourt, Adam Harvey, Madelyn Harvey, Ethan Harvey, Natalie Bibeault, Xander Heon, and Drea Heon; brothers, Willard Heon, Albert Heon, and David Heon; sisters, Frances Gonalez, Rena Tucker, and Pauline Freund. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
