Shirley Puckett

Mrs. Shirley Puckett, age 90, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was born in Cedartown on October 21, 1935, a daughter of the late Sherman and Margert Donovon Davis.

Mrs. Pucket was a wonderful mother who devoted herself to caring for and supporting her family. Some of her greatest joys were the simple pleasures of life—tending to her garden, working in her yard, and preparing Sunday dinners that brought family together around the table. She enjoyed taking care of cats and visiting thrift stores, always searching for hidden treasures, and cherished the many trips with her children and creating memories.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Puckett is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Henery Puckett; infant daughter, Antia Diane Puckett; son, Steven Floyd Puckett; granddaughter, Cecily Holland; siblings, Frank Davis, Harold Davis, Bill Davis, and Ruby Lee.

Mrs. Puckett is survived by her loving children, Toni Puckett, Randy Puckett, Lisa Welchel, Jonathan and Misty Puckett, and Caron Puckett; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services to honor her life will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with her daughter-in-law Misty Puckett delivering her eulogy. In accordance with Mrs. Puckett’s wishes, she will be cremated following her service.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
