Stacey Mobbs

December 3, 1965 — January 9, 2026

Mrs. Stacey Mobbs, age 60, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026.

Stacey was born December 3, 1965, in Rockmart, Georgia, daughter of the late Harold Powell and Mildred Hutcheson Powell.

Stacey was loving and friendly by nature and truly never met a stranger. She loved to talk and could turn any conversation into a moment of connection, laughter, or encouragement with friends and family alike. Her caring heart followed her into her calling as a hospice nurse, where she showed deep compassion and poured her whole heart into caring for her patients.

Stacey dearly loved her church home at Euharlee Baptist Church and shared a special bond with her church family. She also had a deep love for music that brought her joy throughout her life.

Above all else, Stacey’s greatest devotion was to her family. She was a loving wife to her husband, Jud, for thirty-three years, and a devoted mother who considered being a mom her greatest privilege. In recent years, her sweetest joy was being “Gracie” to her precious grandchildren.

Stacey’s warmth, kindness, and joyful love for others will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In addition to her parents, Stacey is preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan Mobbs; brother, Phillip Powell; and brother-in-law, Barry Hulsey.

Stacey is survived by her beloved husband, Mr. Judson Mobbs; children, Jameson Mobbs and his wife, Kayla, Katherine Mobbs, and Tori Hulsey and her husband, Adam; grandsons, Jeremiah Mobbs, and James Mobbs, who will be born in March; siblings, Ann Hutcheson and her husband, David, Jeff Powell and his wife, Donna, and Lisa Gilbreath and her husband, Keith; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Euharlee Baptist Church, 1103 Euharlee Road, Euharlee, Georgia 30145, with Reverend Billy Jones and Reverend Roger Fisher officiating.

Interment will follow in Euharlee Cemetery.

Stacey’s family will receive friends, Tuesday evening, January 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Euharlee Baptist Church.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Phillip Powell, Alan Powell, Andrew Gilbreath, Adam Hulsey, Jarred Hicks, Colton Hicks, and Dakota Mobbs.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Heyman Hospice.
