Stephen "Steve" Molock

Mr. Stephen “Steve” Molock, age 64, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Mr. Molock was born October 29, 1960, in Rome, Georgia, son of the late Harvey Edward “H.E.” Molock and Helen West Molock.

Mr. Molock loved motorcycles, music, and the peace of being at the beach. A faithful member of Victory Baptist Church, his life was centered on God and his family. He proudly served in law enforcement for 41 years, working as a detective with the City of Cedartown and as a lieutenant at the World Congress Center. At home, he enjoyed cutting grass, being outdoors, and spending time with his beloved dog, Lucy. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He cherished his family and the time he shared with them. He will be remembered for his dedication, his love for others, and the full life he lived.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Molock is preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Ward, and the mother of his children, Kimberly Molock.

Mr. Molock is survived by his sons: Matt Molock and his wife, Kristi, and Micah Molock and his wife, Emiliann; his beloved companion, “Lucy the dog”; second mother, Nancy Dodgens; grandchildren: Reily Blalock, Landon Davenport, Ian Stroup, and Kora Mallard; brother, Bobby West and his wife, Vicki; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services to honor his life will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at Victory Baptist Church, with Reverend Barry Snapp and Reverend Darryl Brazier officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

Mr. Molock’s family will receive friends Saturday evening, October 4, 2025, at Smith & Miller Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Eddie Jimenez, Jesse Morris, John Zuker, Craig Payton, Kevin Chandler, and Anthony Wood.

Honorary pallbearers will consist of all current and former law enforcement.
