Terence Lamonte Drayton, age 56, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on August 20, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on July 4, 1969, in New York, New York, Terence lived a full life of strength, love, and wisdom. Terence was preceded in death by his parents, the late John Drayton and Brenda Lloyd Drayton.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Quishantia B. Drayton, who stood faithfully by his side through every season of life.
A proud father, Terence cherished his children: Mahogany Drayton, Jasmine Drayton, Alexis Drayton, Lawencia Sullivan (Tevin Murphy), Deborah Sullivan, Randall Moultrie (Amber Moultrie), and Gus Ryner. His legacy continues through his six beautiful grandchildren, who were the joy of his life. Terence is also survived by his brothers: Levar Harris, Troy Drayton, Edward Drayton, and Paris Drayton; and sisters: Sharlene Sutton (Brandon Sutton), and Porsha Drayton. He shared a strong bond with his brothers-in-law: Willie A. Bea, and Jaunathan Townsend; and sister-in-law, Tara Duclos; along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
Terence was a man of integrity and dedication. He proudly served as a New York City Police Officer and later worked at Air Gas Refrigerant for over ten years. A hard worker and provider, he was also a passionate car enthusiast, a gift he inherited from his father.
When Terence wasn’t working, he enjoyed watching his favorite shows- Law & Order Chicago Fire, and other crime dramas. These shows reflected his love for justice and strong moral compass.
Above all, Terence loved his family deeply. He was not only a father and husband, but a mentor, counselor, and friend to many. He never hesitated to share his wisdom, encourage others, and extend a helping hand.

A wake will be held on Friday, August 21, 2025, at 9:00 am at Smith & Miller Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor the life of a remarkable man who touched countless hearts.
