Teresa Mcclure

Mrs. Teresa Eileen McClure passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023.


Teresa was born August 31, 1954, in Rome, Georgia, daughter of her late parents, Howard L. Jackson and Alma Garmon Jackson.


Teresa lived all of her life here in Cedartown, having graduated from Cedartown High School, Class of 1972. She was of the Methodist faith. Teresa’s greatest joy in her life was in raising her two daughters, Becky, and Cristen. When described by her loved ones, she is remembered as being fun, friendly, and tough. She was a family-oriented person and was sacrificial and nurturing in caring for her parents as they aged. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her nurturing spirit and special love and care had a great impact on all around her.


In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by a brother, Phil Jackson.


Teresa is survived by her husband of almost fifty-one years, Mr. Bill McClure; daughters, Becky McClure Farmer and her husband, Leon of Athens, and Cristen Bradshaw and her husband, Luke of Cedartown; and grandchildren whom she dearly loved: Will Statham, Beau Farmer, and Brooke Farmer. Additionally, she is survived by her niece, Laura Hurley, and nephew, Phillip Jackson.


Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held, Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 2:00 in the afternoon, in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Mr. Don Garmon officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.


The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Bill Garmon, Paul Garmon, Vacel Carter, Phillip Jackson, Kyle Statham, Chuck Shiflett.


The family will receive friends, also on Thursday, from 12:00 in the afternoon until the funeral hour, at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
