Mrs. Virginia “Gingers” Jo Clemons Ware, age 98, of Cedartown passed away June 14, 2025.
Mrs. Ware was born June 4, 1927, in Cedartown, Georgia, daughter of the late Luther Virgil Clemons and Myrtle Edge Clemons.
Mrs. Ware was the “baby sister” of six brothers. She was a long-time resident of Cedartown, having graduated from Cedartown High school, Class of 1944. She was a loving and caring wife to her husband, Mr. Matthew M.B. Ware, who was her third-grade sweetheart. Together they were known as “Sweetie and Gingers.” A true Southern Belle, Mrs. Ware had a very vibrant social life and found great joy in spending time with friends and family members. She had a talent and passion for decorating. Her life was the embodiment of love and kindness. She leaves a lasting impact on all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ware is preceded in death by her beloved husband of seventy-six years, Mr. Matthew Bruce M.B. Ware; brothers: Luther Clemons, Ray Clemons, Johnny Clemons, Frank Clemons, James Clemons, and Louie Clemons; and son-in-law, Bob Eaton.
Mrs. Ware is survived by her children: Bruce Ware, and Connie Eaton; grandchildren: Mary Brittany Schmitz and Mark Schmitz, Tyler and Keturah Eaton, Jennifer and Cary Morgan, Bunny and Chris Campbell, and Hollie and Chris Brown.; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside funeral service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Friday, June 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Chaplain Larry Montgomery officiating.
