Wanda Eason

Mrs. Wanda Wells Eason, age 76, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025.

Mrs. Eason was born June 27, 1949, in Cedartown, Georgia, daughter of the late John Wells and Zona Jackson Wells.

Mrs. Eason was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She found great joy in cooking, especially when preparing meals that brought everyone together. Her love for her family was unmatched, and she cherished time spent with her great-grandchildren. In quieter moments, she enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. Mrs. Eason was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and the quiet impact of a life devoted to others.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eason is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Edward Eason; son, Kerry Eason; sisters: Ima Jean Oliver, Maryann Starley, Cathy Singleton, Martha Ellen Wells, and Lou Ella Chastain; and brothers: Pete Richards, and James Wells.

Mrs. Eason is survived by her daughter, Amanda Eason; daughter-in-law, Deresa Eason; grandchildren: Tyler Eason (Jayme), Dalton Eason (Aevorie), and Logan Duke (Cassidy); great-grandchildren: Jaxon Eason, Harper Eason, and Ellie-Jo Eason; and sisters: Charlotte Coleman, and Janie Ragsdale.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Wanda Eason will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Danny Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Eason’s family will receive friends, also on Tuesday at the funeral home, from 2:00 PM until the service hour.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Tyler Eason, Logan Duke, Dalton Eason, Bubba Oliver, Blake Oliver, Kelvin Garmon, and Tony Garmon.
